We are happy and grateful to see Family Life Missions grow every day. In January the first, new legal foster care families were trained at Por Los Niños in several areas including trauma, attachment, and child development. This is historic for Honduras and for FLM to be able to prepare the families that have been chosen by God to be the ones fostering many children of Honduras. We are amazed to see the grace of God in these families and for the children. We are so proud of all who have helped us and support us as we expand our programs and make FLM an organization that transforms the lives of many children.

I have been reflecting over the transitions of life and one of the things I´ve learned is that good transitions lead to good transformations.

We feel very supported that each and every one of you understand the need to help vulnerable and orphan children in different ways, such as providing a safe and loving family (foster family) so that the children can have the hope for a new transformation. Our Foster Care program has filled us with many hopes and joy because we know God is working through those families who hear the call and are willing to foster a child. Joy and enthusiasm pour into our lives as we see their commitment and responsibility. These feelings are a reality that sometimes we can´t believe and describe. We do know that God establishes his kingdom by putting a child into a family that reflects that kingdom.

“We will give the love and support this child needs,” were the words of a family member who recently received training to be a foster parent. This is the result of what all of you have invested. An investment that should make you feel proud of and honored!

Thanks again for all who have helped make this happen and give hope to many children. Please continue to walk with us side by side in this wonderful and hopeful journey! Please continue to pray for us and this amazing program!
