Karla has an undergraduate degrees in elementary education and psychology and a graduate degree in social psychology with a concentration in public advocacy and interventions for vulnerable children. Before becoming part of the FLM family, she served for more than 10 years in children's ministry, specifically working with vulnerable children and victims of abuse. Karla also has 13 years of experience working in human resources, non-profit administration, and child psychology.
At FLM, she leads the development of all programs through a holistic approach (spiritual, physical, emotional, social, and educational), human resources management, and project development. Committed to the Kingdom of God and His justice, she is passionate about serving children and Honduran families by demonstrating the love, hope, and grace of God.
Karla has been married to José since 2003 and is the mother of two daughters.
